Job summary

Northwest Aerospace Technologies, a Safran company, is seeking a Conformity Inspector to perform conformity inspections on prototype parts, assemblies, and test articles in support of FAA/EASA regulations. You will issue FAA 8130-3 or EASA Form 1 when design requirements are met and collaborate with external partners to maintain regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Four-year technical degree required; or equivalent technical training with 10 years aerospace experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of FAA/EASA regulations and QA practices.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and communicate findings effectively.
  • Willingness for international travel.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct conformity inspections per NAT procedures and FAA/EASA rules.
  • Issue FAA 8130-3 or EASA Form 1 after design requirements are met.
  • Represent NAT with external companies in regulatory matters.
  • Troubleshoot and report nonconformances and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Work in warehouse/manufacturing environment and travel as needed.

Conformity Inspector will be a representative to other companies and organizations must be diplomatic and supportive to the integrity of processes and legal regulatory requirements. Conformity Inspectors will issues FAA 8130-3 or EASA Form 1s when all design requirements have been met.Job RequirementsKnowledge/Experience:The Conformity Inspector should have a four year technical degree and at least five years relevant industry experience. In lieu of a four year technical degree a combination of other relevant formal technical training and at least 10 years relevant industry experience is required.Skills/Abilities:Ability to communicate at all levels.
