Job summary

Rocket EMS in Carson City, NV, seeks a Conformal Coating Lead to provide hands‑on leadership for applying protective coatings to high‑reliability electronic assemblies. You will coordinate daily work, support operators, verify workmanship, and help meet production schedules.

The role requires strong conformal coating experience, attention to detail, and the ability to train employees while maintaining safe chemical handling practices. Full‑time, on‑site position.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on conformal coating experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Experience as a production lead, trainer, or senior operator preferred.
• Knowledge of masking, curing, coating inspection and touch-up methods.
• Familiarity with IPC-A-610 Class 2 and 3 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily work assignments with supervisor to meet priorities and schedules.
• Perform masking, coating application, curing, demasking, and inspection with operators.
• Set up and operate manual and automated selective coating equipment.
• Verify coating coverage, thickness, and cure condition using approved methods.
• Identify defects and coordinate disposition with Quality and Engineering.
• Train and coach operators on equipment operation and safe handling.
• Maintain production records and ERP transactions.
• Ensure PPE, ventilation, and waste disposal compliance.
