Job summary

Emerald Technologies, an electronics manufacturing services provider, is seeking a Conformal Coat Operator I for its Saline, MI team. You will assist in applying protective conformal coatings to PCBs and assemblies, under supervision, focusing on quality, safety, and process compliance.

Responsibilities include preparing PCBs, operating coating equipment, handling coating materials, performing visual inspections with UV lighting, maintaining records, and following IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-1 year of electronics manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions.
• IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 knowledge encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Prepare PCBs and assemblies for coating, including masking, cleaning, and fixture setup.
• Operate basic coating equipment under direction (manual spray, dip, or automated systems).
• Assist in mixing and handling coating materials per instructions.
• Perform visual inspections for coverage and defects using UV lighting.
• Maintain accurate production and process records.
• Follow all safety, ESD, and chemical handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment.
• Report defects, irregularities, or equipment malfunctions to supervisor.

Emerald Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Conformal Coating Operator on its Saline, MI team! The Conformal Coat Operator assists in applying protective coatings to printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic assemblies. This position focuses on learning and performing conformal coating processes under close supervision while ensuring quality, safety, and process compliance.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
