Emerald Technologies is seeking a Conformal Coat Operator in Saline, MI to support coating of PCBs and assemblies. You will learn and perform conformal coating processes under supervision, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

The role involves preparing parts, operating coating equipment, handling coating materials, inspecting coverage with UV light, and maintaining records. A path to skilled practice exists in a supportive, team-oriented EMS environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-1 year of electronics manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions.
• IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare PCBs and assemblies for coating, including masking, cleaning, and fixture setup.
• Operate basic coating equipment under direction (manual spray, dip, or automated systems).
• Assist in mixing and handling coating materials per instructions.
• Perform visual inspections for coverage and defects using UV lighting.
• Maintain accurate production and process records.
• Follow all safety, ESD, and chemical handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment.
• Report defects, irregularities, or equipment malfunctions to supervisor.

The Conformal Coat Operator assists in applying protective coatings to printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic assemblies. This position focuses on learning and performing conformal coating processes under close supervision while ensuring quality, safety, and process compliance.
