Job summary

Essex Solutions Fort Wayne Plant is seeking a manufacturing operator to unwrap coils, tag, weld metal wire ends and feed reels into the production line. You will set up machines per order requirements and monitor processes for quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities include weighing reels, completing paperwork, and recording data while reading micrometers to measure wire. Strong attention to safety and accuracy is required in this hands-on role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Entry level position.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
• Ability to follow plant work rules, safety rules and established processes, procedures & practices.
• Ability to use tools including wire cutters, pliers, wrenches, hammer, micrometers, and computer.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Conform is responsible for unwrapping coils, baskets or reels and properly tagging, welds metal wire ends together to feed through machine, sets up machine per order requirements, consistently monitors machine processes to ensure proper settings and quality, weighs completed reel and completes paperwork, records and enters data. This position uses and reads micrometers to measure wire, places completed reel in designated location, and communicates with supervisors & associates.
