Job summary

Superior Essex Fort Wayne Plant is seeking a Conform Operator to handle coils and reels, tag and weld wire ends, and feed material through the press. You will set up machines per order, monitor processes for quality, and document weights and measurements using micrometers.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to read instructions, follow safety rules, and operate basic tools and a computer. Entry-level position with opportunities to grow within the plant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
• Ability to follow plant work rules, safety rules and established processes.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and a computer.

Responsibilities

• Unwraps coils/reels and tags and welds wire ends to feed through machine.
• Sets up machine per order requirements and monitors processes for quality.
• Weighs completed reel and records data, using micrometers to measure wire.
• Places completed reel in designated location and communicates with supervisors.
