Kay Search Group is seeking a Client Intake/Conflicts Specialist in Washington, D.C. (Hybrid) with a salary up to $125k plus discretionary bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits.

The role supports the Office of the General Counsel and Conflicts department, coordinating new business intake and conflicts processes while maintaining documentation and confidentiality. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 4+ years of legal conflicts experience in a large law firm or similarly complex legal environment preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Conflicts Analyst, Senior Analyst, or in a lead capacity preferred.
  • Experience with automated new business intake and conflicts management systems, including Intapp Conflicts or Intapp Open.
  • Knowledge of corporate affiliation and business entity research databases and experience interpreting corporate structures, legal entity relationships, and conflicts data.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as legal technology platforms such as Intapp, Elite, Aderant, or similar systems.
  • Strong research, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain confidentiality, manage competing priorities, work independently, and support junior team members.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate new business intake and conflicts clearance, ensuring client and matter information is complete, accurate, and processed in a timely manner
  • Communicate with attorneys and staff to obtain missing information, resolve discrepancies, and address intake requirements
  • Generate conflicts reports, respond to urgent and high-priority inquiries, and establish and maintain ethical walls
  • Process requests to open, reopen, and update matters, ensuring information is accurately reflected across Firm systems
  • Monitor intake and conflicts requests, prepare daily and weekly new business reports, and follow up to ensure timely completion
  • Support the training and mentoring of Conflicts Analysts, including onboarding, research methodologies, Firm policies, systems, and best practices
  • Assist with data quality initiatives, process improvements, technology enhancements, and the maintenance of new business intake documentation

Overview For Client Intake/Conflicts Specialist

Join a leading Am100 Law firm as a Client Intake/Conflicts Specialist supporting the Office of the General Counsel and Conflicts department. This role will coordinate new business intake and conflicts processes, including reviewing client and matter information, generating conflicts reports, establishing ethical walls, maintaining intake documentation, and working with attorneys and Firm leadership to resolve issues and mitigate risk.
