Job summary

Jenner & Block LLP is seeking a Conflicts Attorney who identifies, analyzes, and resolves conflicts of interest to uphold ethical standards. The role collaborates with Conflicts Counsel and Director of Conflicts Services and Business Intake, with on-call availability.

Qualifications

  • Law degree from an accredited law school and an active Illinois bar license required.
  • 2+ years of conflicts, risk, or compliance experience in a mid-large law firm.
  • Working knowledge of professional responsibility rules (ABA Model Rules, applicable U.S. State and Federal, and international bar ethics).
  • Experience reviewing conflicts reports involving corporate structures, related entities, and prior representations.
  • Experience using conflicts software (Intapp), research tools (D&B, CapIQ), etc.

POSTION SUMMARY

The Conflicts Attorney is a member of the Conflicts & Business Intake Department.

This role includes the identification, analysis, and resolution of potential ethical and business conflicts of interest. In doing so, this role ensures the firm maintains ethical standards in accordance with professional responsibility rules and firm policies.

This position works closely with Conflicts Counsel and Director of Conflicts Services and Business Intake.

Should be available for on-call.

The anticipated pay range for this role is $140,000-$185,000 in Chicago. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on several factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
