Job summary

Independent Software is seeking a Configuration Manager / Tools Engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD. You will manage automation, integration, and configuration tools across the system lifecycle, collaborating with engineering and infrastructure teams to ensure secure, efficient tool operations.

You will implement automated solutions, support SDLC processes, and maintain tool environments like ClearCase/ClearQuest and JIRA, enabling project success in mission-focused environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline and DoD 8570 IAT I or higher is preferred.
• Ten years of combined experience as a software/engineering professional is required.
• Six years of Tools Engineer experience in similar programs is required.
• DoD security clearance (TS/SCI) with polygraph is required.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade enterprise software productivity tools and related infrastructure.
• Administer ClearCase and ClearQuest environments including maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Support and develop automation to improve workflows and configuration management processes.
• Develop and maintain requirements repositories and project tracking tools such as JIRA.
