Job Type

Full-time

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage configuration management activities for PeopleSoft HCM and related enterprise systems across development, test, staging, and production environments, with strong focus on PHIRE-driven migrations, deployment controls, and configuration traceability.
  • Build, review, and maintain migration packages, version inventories, compare results, approval records, deployment checklists, and supporting documentation to ensure controlled movement of changes across environments.
  • Work closely with the Release Manager to align configuration management activities with release calendars, cutover plans, readiness milestones, change windows, and deployment governance across multiple teams or ARTs.
  • Validate that application objects, configurations, security changes, interfaces, reports, and supporting components included in migration packages are complete, properly documented, approved, and aligned with technical and operational standards.
  • Coordinate environment promotion, migration sequencing, approvals, backup and rollback planning, and post-deployment validation activities with development, testing, infrastructure, database, security, and operations teams.
  • Support scheduled releases, emergency fixes, and production deployments by preparing migration content, participating in deployment activities, monitoring for issues, and assisting with remediation, restart, rollback, or recovery actions when needed.
  • Maintain configuration management baselines, migration logs, environment status records, SOPs, runbooks, and audit artifacts; support change control, release reporting, and continuous improvement of migration and deployment practices.
  • Enforce configuration management standards, naming conventions, segregation of duties, documentation requirements, and secure deployment practices to reduce release risk and improve auditability, repeatability, and production stability.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in configuration management, migration management, release support, deployment coordination, or environment promotion for enterprise applications; experience supporting PeopleSoft HCM or similar ERP platforms preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with PHIRE or a comparable configuration management and migration tool supporting PeopleSoft or enterprise ERP environments, including package preparation, compare analysis, approvals, migration tracking, and deployment support.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, migration path management, environment promotion strategies, release readiness, rollback planning, change control, and production deployment practices; experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar work tracking tools preferred.
  • Experience working closely with release managers, developers, testers, PeopleSoft administrators, infrastructure teams, database teams, and operations personnel to move changes across environments safely, accurately, and with full traceability.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Desired Skills
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft HCM objects, PeopleTools changes, tax and regulatory updates, PUM image adoption, security migrations, interfaces, reports, and the operational considerations of moving enterprise ERP changes into production.
  • Experience supporting federal, DoD, or other highly regulated environments where auditability, change governance, security controls, and segregation of duties are essential to release and migration success.
  • Knowledge of PHIRE best practices, migration templates, approval workflows, compare and remediation processes, release packaging, deployment validation, and documentation standards that improve release quality and reduce migration errors.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with release managers, client stakeholders, developers, testers, and operations teams regarding migration content, readiness, risks, dependencies, approvals, and post-deployment status.
Additional Information
  • Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Work Environment: Onsite/Hybrid as required by the contract and program environment.
  • This is a full-time, W2 position.
