The role focuses on establishing and maintaining CM processes across development, test, and production environments, ensuring compliance with policies and integration with project teams. Strong emphasis on lifecycle management and audits.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph is required.
• One (1) year of CM experience on a developmental program may be required.
• Bachelor's degree with 8 years CM experience or 8+4 years substitution options, or Master’s with 6 years CM experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage CM for developmental and operational systems across baselines (development, test, production).
• Use or recommend automated CM tools to enforce CM policies and procedures.
• Develop or modify CM plans, policies, and procedures for system scope and complexity.
• Implement CM discipline through entire system life cycle from requirements to end-of-life.
• Perform change control and configuration audits.

Position Summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Configuration Manager 3 responsible for configuration management (CM) of developmental and operational systems, including configuration baselines, automated configuration management tools, configuration management policies and procedures, lifecycle implementation, change control, and configuration audits.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Responsible for configuration management (CM) of developmental and operational systems.
• Works on developmental and operational teams to create and maintain configuration baselines (development, test, production, etc.) supporting developmental and operational systems.
• Uses or recommends automated CM tools to implement CM policies and procedures.
• Develops or modifies CM plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of the developmental or operational system.
• Implement CM discipline for the entire life cycle of systems from initial requirements/capabilities baselines to system end-of-life.
• Perform change control and configuration audits.

Required Qualifications

• Meet an applicable education and experience pathway in the equivalency section.
• If assigned to a developmental program, one (1) year of experience using a source code control system for a developmental program of similar scope and complexity is required.

Required Education and Experience Equivalency

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university with Eight (8) years' experience as a CM in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Four (4) years of additional CM experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree with Twelve (12) years' experience as a CM in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity (8 + 4 additional years).
• A Master's degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience with Six (6) years of experience as a CM in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Required Security Clearance

• Active Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
• The CI polygraph must have been completed within the last 5 years.
• U.S. citizenship is required
