Job summary

CACI seeks a Configuration Manager to oversee and maintain IT infrastructure configuration, implementing CM processes, controls, and documentation to ensure stability and compliance.

The role includes managing the CMDB, coordinating change activities with development, operations and security teams, and keeping configurations up to date. TS/SCI with poly is required, with up to 10% local travel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or technical education or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of related work experience.
  • TS/SCI with polygraph is required.
  • Strong ITIL knowledge and CM principles.
  • Experience with CM tools.
  • Familiarity with version control systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The Opportunity : We are seeking a highly motivated Configuration Manager to oversee and maintain our organization’s IT infrastructure configuration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing configuration management processes, tools, and documentation to ensure system stability, consistency, and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain configuration management plans and procedures
  • Manage the configuration management database (CMDB) and ensure its accuracy
  • Oversee change management processes and coordinate with relevant teams
  • Conduct regular audits of system configurations and resolve discrepancies
  • Implement and maintain version control systems for software and documentation
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure proper configuration across all environments
  • Develop and maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures
  • Assist in troubleshooting configuration-related issues
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in configuration management

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
