Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• CMDB Administration: Maintain and update hardware, software, and network asset inventories using tools like Jira, ServiceNow, or Confluence.
• Change Control: Track hardware/software configuration requests, support Change Control Boards, ensure changes comply with baseline standards.
• Lifecycle Tracking: Monitor equipment from procurement through deployment, maintenance, and disposition.
• Audits & Compliance: Conduct configuration audits and support compliance reviews (NIST/RMF).
• Incident Resolution: Triaging; troubleshooting and resolving end-user tickets related to hardware, software, networks, and OS.
• Access & Deployment: Provision user accounts, deploy software packages, and handle hardware imaging.
• Documentation: Create/update knowledge base articles and troubleshooting steps.
• Escalation: Collaborate with engineers and admins to escalate complex issues.

This position manages hardware and software baselines, maintains the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), tracks asset lifecycles, and provides tier-1 through tier-2 technical support to end-users. This role bridges technical operations and service delivery by ensuring changes are properly documented while resolving daily user IT incidents.
