Your Future Role

Take on a new challenge and apply your Configuration Management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless implementation of Configuration Management and Change Control processes for Signaling Projects, Products, and Programs, contributing to the delivery of high-quality solutions to internal and external customers. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Project Managers, Technical Leads, and cross-functional departments), organize and manage project evolutions through change activities, and ensure rigorous traceability and reporting—and much more.

We’ll look to you for:
  • Ensuring application of Alstom configuration and change management procedures and instructions.
  • Writing and maintaining the configuration and change management plan with PM and technical lead(s) to implement the configuration and change management process and address contractual configuration management requirements.
  • Demonstrating ownership of the role for assigned projects, products, and programs while responding to priorities or urgencies.
  • Following any other related Alstom processes as required.
  • Organizing and managing project, product, or program evolutions through change activities.
  • Organizing and updating the configuration and change databases for assigned projects, products, and programs.
  • Setting up, planning, and organizing Change Control Board (CCB) meetings, including reviewing Change Requests (CR), verifying documentation, and tracking configuration changes.
  • Creating and managing project, product, and program baselines with technical leads, ensuring configuration item identification, baseline definition, review, and freeze.
  • Coordinating the workload of all subsystems, including the coordination of Configuration Control Managers.
  • Providing Return on Experience (REX) on methods and tools while sharing best practices with the global Engineering community.
All About You

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Degree in Engineering or other related technical discipline. Equivalent experience may substitute for the degree.
  • Experience or understanding of leading/managing functional or project teams.
  • Familiarity with Power BI and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of Configuration Management processes and tools, including working knowledge of IBM's EWM (RTC), ETM (RQM), and DOORs Next Gen.
  • Strong communication skills – both oral and written.
  • Analytical and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to ensure rigorous traceability, reporting, and documentation practices.
  • Experience in organizing and managing Change Control Board (CCB) activities.
  • Knowledge of Railway Signaling products and systems (preferred but not required).
