Job summary

Synovix, Inc. in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a Configuration Manager for a defense development program spanning from design through production.

You will lead configuration-control boards, manage libraries for documents, software, and hardware, and coordinate changes with engineering, quality, and mission assurance teams. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with 5–10 years of relevant experience.
• Must be a US citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Clearance and SAP approval within a reasonable period of time.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
• Understanding of DoD contracts and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) requirements.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and document Configuration Control Boards, Technical Review Boards, and Change Boards.
• Establish, maintain, and audit configuration-management libraries for documents, software, and hardware items.
• Plan and coordinate preparation, review, and release of engineering drawings, production specifications, schedules, and contract modifications to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Administer change processes, including change-order creation, authorization, status tracking, and integration with engineering, quality, and mission-assurance functions.
• Manage the full lifecycle of change packages—from initiation through closure—verifying implementation and updating status records.
• Perform configuration status accounting, generate metrics, and produce reports on baseline maturity and item status.
• Conduct configuration audits and verify correct marking of documents per contract and corporate guidance.
• Execute contract and supplier data-requirement activities, including planning, scheduling, delivery, and maintaining Supplier Statements of Work and Supplier Requirements Documents.
• Support development, enhancement, and maintenance of configuration-management and data-management tools.
• Provide technical configuration liaison with senior internal and external stakeholders, deliver presentations and coordinating cross-functional resolution of configuration issues.

• Experience developing and maintaining program plans, process documentation, and configuration-management tools.
• Proficiency with configuration-management data tools such as Atlassian Jira, Confluence, and Tableau.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface across all levels of the organization.
