Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiatives across the United States. We are currently seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to join our team.
Summary:
- Client Agency: Defense Logistics Agency.
- Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET / TOP SECRET Clearance. Basic Federal Clearance requirements include U.S. Citizenship, a clear criminal history check, and no recent or pending bankruptcies.
- Conduct System Engineering Technical Review and Configuration Management services for design and development work for DLA financial systems.
- Support configuration management functions of Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI), including creating and deploying software packages and configuration baselines using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
- Oversee configuration management processes across various aspects of DAI, for servers, clients, and stand-alone machines.
- Manage total lifecycle CM planning and implementation for the program or project.
- Establish and document configuration identification structures and assign unique identifiers.
- Ensure proper management and verification of changes to configuration baselines.
- Maintain product configuration information throughout the product lifecycle.
- Establish configuration verification and audits to meet performance, security, and functional requirements.
- Support Configuration Management Audits and Compliance reporting.
- Provide unbiased recommendations for deployment issues to facilitate management decisions.
- Maintain and implement Change Management processes using automation and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with PMO to deliver monthly and major releases; prepare production packages.
- Develop and maintain the Configuration Management Plan.
- Create, maintain, and update documents and artifacts from CM sessions, including CCB and CCWG Charters.
- Develop, maintain, and update the Supplemental Implementation Guide (SIG) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Implement and maintain software tools for Requirements Management, change management, and ticketing.
Requirements:
- Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET / TOP SECRET Clearance. Basic Federal Clearance requirements include U.S. Citizenship, a clear criminal history check, and no recent or pending bankruptcies.
- At least 3+ years of relevant configuration management experience.
- Experience in configuration management or related technical documentation roles.
- Experience with version control and change management practices.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferences:
- DFARS 252.239-7001 Information Assurance Contractor Training and Certification.
- Current certifications such as IAM-II security certification: CAP, CASP+ CE, CISM, CISSP, CISSA, GSLC, CCISO, or HCISPP.
