Job summary

Quantum Systems Inc. is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to establish, maintain, and control product configuration data throughout the lifecycle.

You will ensure integrity, traceability, and compliance across engineering, manufacturing, and program documentation while supporting change management processes. This role collaborates with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management to maintain configuration control across programs and products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 4+ years of CM, document control, or engineering support experience.
• Experience managing BOMs, drawings, and change control processes.
• Background check / U.S. citizenship required for government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Manage configuration management processes, procedures, and documentation.
• Review, process, and track engineering change requests, change orders, and configuration changes.
• Ensure product baselines, BOMs, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation remain accurate.
• Coordinate configuration control board (CCB) activities and support change approval processes.
• Maintain configuration records and ensure document traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
• Perform configuration audits to verify compliance with approved configurations and documentation requirements.
• Support product releases and ensure configuration data is properly documented and controlled.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management teams to implement configuration changes.
• Monitor configuration status and generate reports related to product changes and baseline management.
• Support customer, regulatory, and internal audits related to configuration management activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and applicable industry standards.

Salary Range: $100,000.00 To $115,000.00 Annually

Our business directly addresses the Defense and Security markets in North America, Asia Pacific and Latin America. We currently have an opening for a Configuration Management Specialist. This position reports to the Hardware Engineering Manager.

The Configuration Management Specialist is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and controlling product configuration data throughout the product lifecycle. This role ensures the integrity, accuracy, and traceability of engineering, manufacturing, and program documentation while supporting change management processes and compliance with customer and company requirements. The position works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management teams to maintain configuration control across programs and products.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Technical Management, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4+ years of experience in configuration management, document control, engineering support, or a related role.
• Experience managing technical documentation, engineering drawings, bills of materials, and change control processes.
• Knowledge of configuration management principles and product lifecycle management practices.
• Experience working with document management, ERP, PLM, or configuration management systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
