Job summary

Leonardo DRS in Danbury, CT is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to join our Engineering team. You will develop, establish, and maintain data management and configuration management documentation in accordance with program, contractual, internal, and ISO requirements to support compliant, timely deliveries.

You will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of Configuration Management systems and processes while ensuring high standards of quality, accuracy, and process

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Excellent attention to detail and process.
  • Ability to follow processes verbatim.
  • Experience with CM-related policies and tools.
  • Knowledge of PLM tools (Empower, Windchill) relevant to CM.
  • Experience with ERP tools (CostPoint, SAP, Oracle).
  • Familiarity with MS Office, SharePoint, and Confluence.

Responsibilities

  • Execute Configuration Management processes for hardware and software development programs.
  • Review and process Item Masters, Bills of Material, Engineering Change Orders, drawings, and related documentation with a strong focus on accuracy, completeness, revision control, and timeliness.
  • Analyze proposed engineering changes against Configuration Management checklists and support Change Control Board activities.
  • Prepare and assemble technical data packages, supplier drawing packages, customer submittals, procedures, reports, and other controlled deliverables.
  • Review, process, and maintain test data in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Provide end-user support, troubleshooting, training, and coordination for Product Lifecycle Management tools, including Empower and Windchill.
  • Collaborate with internal customers and cross-functional stakeholders to support quality deliverables and on-time program execution.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to improve Configuration Management processes, tools, and workflows.

Job Summary

Join our Danbury, CT team as a Data Management Analyst – Configuration Management supporting the Engineering organization. In this role, you will develop, establish, and maintain data management and configuration management documentation in accordance with program, contractual, internal, and ISO requirements. You will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of Configuration Management systems and processes while ensuring a high standard of quality, accuracy, and process adherence.

Job Responsibilities
  • Execute Configuration Management processes for hardware and software development programs in accordance with established procedures and applicable requirements.
  • Review and process Item Masters, Bills of Material, Engineering Change Orders, drawings, and related documentation with a strong focus on accuracy, completeness, revision control, and timeliness.
  • Analyze proposed engineering changes against Configuration Management checklists and support Change Control Board activities.
  • Prepare and assemble technical data packages, supplier drawing packages, customer submittals, procedures, reports, and other controlled deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Must be flexible and willing to move between projects and tasks quickly and as needed
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with MS Office applications and knowledge of SharePoint and Confluence
  • Knowledge of military and commercial CM requirements, specifications, and standards
  • Experience with the application of CM-related policies, procedures, and tools
  • Knowledge of PLM tools (Omnify/Empower, Arena, Windchill) in regard to the control and structure of parts, Bill of Materials, documentation/drawings
  • Working knowledge of engineering change and revision control processes
  • Working knowledge of ISO and CMMI practices
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools and principals (CostPoint, SAP, Oracle)
