Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Configuration Management (CM) Manager 2 to lead a team of CM analysts, data managers, writers, and engineering liaisons. The role requires partnering with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality to enable disciplined change management and timely delivery, working 100% on-site in Northridge, CA.

The position demands a strong CM background, leadership experience, and active government secret clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical, Business, or related field with 8 years CM/PDMS/engineering experience, or Master’s with 6 years.
Experience leading teams and projects in aerospace/defense environments.
Strong CM principles, including configuration identification, change control, and audits.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of CM, data management, and technical writing professionals.
Establish and improve CM plans, processes, and work instructions.
Own configuration baselines and ensure timely incorporation of changes.
Oversee configuration audits and data in PLM/PDM tools.
Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality to support builds and delivery.
Prepare CM status, risks, and issues for leadership.
