Job summary

Stratum Networks in Annapolis Junction, MD is seeking a Configuration Manager to oversee the documentation, change control, and lifecycle management of information systems. You will ensure CM processes align with Government policies and security requirements, and you will coordinate with ISSM and engineering teams.

Applicants must hold an active TS/SCI with polygraph and have extensive CM experience in DoD/IC environments.

Qualifications

  • Eight years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university is required.
  • TS/SCI with polygraph active is required to be considered for the position.

Responsibilities

  • Verify engineering documentation is received by the enhancement, implementation, and sustainment teams in proper electronic format.
  • Maintain changes of engineering drawings and ensure they are incorporated into documents.
  • Perform physical configuration audits to validate captured baselines.
  • Prepare drawing packages for procuring information assurance products and provide to Government customers.
  • Life cycle management of hardware and software configuration items.
  • Plan, scope, and prepare SSP documentation including legacy systems.
  • Maintain SSP to ensure compliance with Government security requirements.
  • Ensure operational security is maintained for IS and report to ISSM.
  • Maintain monthly metrics by capturing changes to SSPs.
  • Manage IA VA process to ensure compliance with governance and regulations.

Job description

Stratum Networks is a rapidly growing information assurance and cybersecurity solutions company that provides high-end network and security consulting to Department of Defense and Intelligence Community clients.

We are looking for a talented and passionate Configuration Manager who would support one of our clients located in the Annapolis Junction, MD area.

CANDIDATES ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE AN ACTIVE TS/SCI WITH POLYGRAPH TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION.

Configuration Management (CM)

Operational Support personnel use the CM documentation to troubleshoot, restore, and maintain circuit connectivity; accuracy is critical. The contractor shall ensure all CM documentation is drafted, updated, and maintained in accordance with Government policies on Configuration Management.

  • (U) Verify engineering documentation is received by the enhancement, implementation, and sustainment teams in the proper electronic format.
  • (U) Maintain complete, accurate, and legible changes of engineering drawings and required documentation are properly incorporated into the documents.
  • (U) Perform physical configuration audits to validate captured baseline.
  • (U) Prepare drawing packages for procuring information assurance products and make drawings available to Government internal and external customers.
  • (U) Responsible for life cycle management of hardware and software configuration items to include the supporting distant end.
  • (U) Plan, scope, and prepare the appropriate SSP documentation to include legacy systems.
  • (U) Maintain the SSP to ensure compliance with Government security requirements to support new network additions.
  • (U) Ensure operational security is maintained for specific Information Systems (IS), and report status and changes to the Information System Security Manager (ISSM).
  • (U) Maintain monthly metrics by capturing and consolidating changes to the SSPs.
  • (U) Manage the IA VA process to ensure all Government network devices are compliant with governance and corporate regulations.

The GRAMATOM, Remedy, SM7/SM9, OPNET, AGMEMS, Xacta, and internally created databases track the projected requirements, operation, and configuration database for TD Operations and Maintenance. These databases serve as the information repository for all circuit connectivity and deployed devices. The contractor shall assign a Remedy/SM queue manager to each Network Team. The contractor shall maintain the Government ticketing databases, Data entry and information integrity in accordance with Agency Policies and Doctrine. The contractor shall migrate the Standard Operation Support Agreement (SOSA) information to the new CMDB. The SOSA shall be reviewed annually.

  • (U) Manage the work-order process and Network/Telephony maintenance documentation, as well as tracking within Remedy/SM for the enhancement, implementation, or sustainment teams.
  • (U) Ensure circuits, systems, and devices are supportable when activated by providing complete SOSA infonnation and Memorandums for the Record (MFRs) for all CONUS, OCONUS, and hostile sites. These documents shall be updated bi-yearly.
  • (U) Create databases and websites using Government approved Commercial of the Shelf (COTS) products in support of WAN/LAN/Security/Telephony technologies. Document the database to ensure maintainability.
  • (U) Maintain SSPs for currency.
  • (U) Perform data entry functions to the Government databases. Archive technical information.
  • (U) Maintain data integrity by performing, verifying, and reconciling audit reports against system log files. Keep the most up to date information available in branch folders and on web pages.
  • (U) Collect, distribute, and store CM data needed for TD operations organizations.
  • (U) Update Rocblaster/tickets as defined in the Government Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) on Boundary Solutions
  • (U) Standardize SOSAs, SOPs, training guides, and other essential documents for Network Telephony Maintenance. Maintain currency of all documentation.
REQUIREMENTS

Eight (8) years experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional similar experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
