Job summary

Seamless Migration LLC seeks a career- and customer-oriented Configuration Management Analyst to join our Chantilly, VA team. You will support the planning, design, and implementation of configuration management plans and standards, help maintain the CMDB, and map services to CI relationships.

You will work with ServiceNow dashboards, contribute to ITIL-aligned ITSM processes, and participate in process improvements and TEMs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of service process experience in an ITSM environment.
• Degree or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in ITIL framework concepts and practices.
• Working knowledge of service management workflows and ITSM processes.
• Relevant experience as an ITSM Configuration Management Analyst in programs of similar scope.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a SIAM – Configuration Management Analyst supporting the planning, design, and implementation of configuration management plans and standards.
• Assist with management and maintenance of the CMDB.
• Aid in periodic verification and audit of CIs.
• Define common naming conventions and tagging standards for assets and CIs.
• Ensure mapping of services from business services to CI level.
• Update CI information in a timely manner.
• Ensure CI relationship mapping is accurate and updated.
• Provide input for technology requirements related to configuration management.
• Utilize ServiceNow dashboards to report CMDB and CI status.
• Support weekly and monthly measurement and reporting.
• Participate in CSI-related process improvements and assessments.
• Support TEMs and requirements-gathering sessions.
• Work independently and in teams to deliver high-quality results.

Overview

• Serve as an experienced and highly motivated SIAM (Service Integration and Management) – Configuration Management Analyst supporting the planning, design, and implementation of configuration management plans and standards.
• Supports the planning, design, and implementation of configuration management plans and standards.
• Assists with the management and maintenance of the CMDB.
• Assists in the periodic verification and audit of CIs.l>
• Assists asset management in defining a common naming convention and tagging standard for both assets and CIs.
• Ensures mapping of services (logical service model) from the level of business services.
• Ensures timely updates to CI information.
• Ensures CI relationship mapping is accurate and evaluated often.
• Provides input for technology requirements relating to or impacting configuration management.
• Utilizes ServiceNow dashboards, tools, and techniques to report the status of the CMDB and CIs as needed.
• Supports measurement and reporting for weekly and monthly meetings.
• Assists with research, evaluation, and assessment leading to the development of recommendations for process improvements, optimization, and/or development efforts for IT processes (CSI).
• Supports evaluations and quality assessments for proper implementation of processes to meet quality standards.
• Supports and participates in TEMs and other requirements-gathering work sessions.
• Performs as a self-starter who manages end-to-end efforts independently as well as within a team environment.
• Delivers high-quality work and adapts to new challenges, either independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of service process experience in an ITSM environment.
• Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of three years of related work experience.
• Proficiency in and understanding of ITIL framework concepts and practices.
• Working knowledge of service management workflows and ITSM processes.
• Relevant experience as an ITSM Configuration Management Analyst in programs of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Good written and communication skills, with the ability to clearly document and explain business processes.

• ITIL certifications.
• Familiarity with Tableau.
• ServiceNow certifications.
