Job summary

Synectic Solutions, Inc. seeks a Configuration Management Specialist to support naval aviation acquisition programs. Responsibilities include collecting and organizing program data, maintaining documentation control, tracking change packages, and coordinating ECPs and related artifacts at DoD facilities.

The role requires working with government, military, and contractor stakeholders, ensuring compliance with configuration management processes, and producing briefs and status reports.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in a relevant discipline and Active Secret security clearance.
  • Associate’s degree plus two additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Four additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
  • 3 to 10 years of experience performing duties similar to the functional description.
  • 5 years of experience supporting Naval aviation or comparable DoW acquisition programs.
  • Ability to work effectively with government, military, and contractor stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare professional briefs, reports, and correspondence.
  • Experience with aircraft, weapons, avionics, mission systems, or aviation support equipment (preferred).
  • Familiarity with configuration control boards, ECP packages, data management, and technical documentation workflows (preferred).
  • Experience supporting government documentation and change-control processes (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Support configuration control boards, working groups, technical reviews, and program meetings.
  • Maintain tracking tools, status reports, logs, and repositories to support visibility of configuration actions.
  • Coordinate with engineering, logistics, contracting, program management, and government stakeholders.
  • Review documents for accuracy, consistency, traceability, and compliance with program requirements.
  • Prepare meeting materials, minutes, action item logs, data call responses, and program status inputs.
