Job summary

SCCI is seeking a Configuration Management Analyst II/III to support the CSS Program. Responsibilities include CM planning, identification, control, status accounting, audits, and data management on-site in Dahlgren, VA.

Ideal candidates have DoD CM experience and an active Secret clearance, with strong MS Office skills and the ability to coordinate across teams and present to Navy leadership.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years DoD Configuration Management experience.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Plan, identify, control, and manage CM data and audits.
• Serve as meeting secretary: agendas, minutes, actions.
• Review/update CM plans and procedures for planning and status.
• Represent CM in technical reviews and IPTs.
• Enter and maintain CM data in databases.
• Track documents through reviews and consolidate comments.
• Maintain file repositories and online workflows (iPDM, SharePoint).
• Ensure quality and timeliness of CM Deliverables (CDRLs).
• Generate MSR and present IPIs as required.
• Perform QA of configuration data for accuracy.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for CM tasks.

Overview

SCCI is seeking a Configuration Management Analyst II/III to join our team! In this position you will support the Combat System Simulations (CSS) Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for board support, data entry and status accounting of CM related data. This role will assess the state of existing plans, process, and procedures associated with CM tools in the areas of CM Planning, Configuration Identification, Configuration Control, Configuration Status Accounting, and Audits. This is an on‑site position located in Dahlgren, VA.

Responsibilities

• Perform Configuration Management/Data Management functions: Planning, Configuration Identification, Configuration Control, Status Accounting, Audits, and Data Management
• Perform meeting secretariat functions: Generate agendas, distribute artifacts for review, track/consolidate comments, accurately capture/distribute highlights/minutes and track action items
• Review/update plans, processes, and procedures associated with the CM functional areas (i.e., Configuration Planning, Configuration Identification, Configuration Control, Configuration Status Accounting, Audits, and Data Management)
• Participate in technical reviews, integrated product teams, and working groups representing CM efforts
• Enter and maintain data records and perform database management
• Track documents/changes through a technical review process and consolidate comments for adjudication meetings
• Maintain file repositories and workflows in online repositories (such as iPDM, SharePoint, etc.)
• Ensure the quality and timeliness of all CDRLs
• Generate the Monthly Status Report (MSR) and prepare/present In-Process Review (IPR) presentations
• Perform Quality Assurance of configuration data to ensure accuracy
• Develop and maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and processes for all work performed on task

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an active Secret Security Clearance
• High school diploma
• Demonstratable knowledge of CM principles, methods, and techniques
• Three (3) – Five (5) years of previous DoD CM experience
• Highly proficient with MS Office tools, primarily MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to effectively communicate across all organizational levels to include co-workers, managers, government customers, and program sponsors
• Ability to multi‑task, work well independently and in a team environment
• Self‑starter with strong technical skills and attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy
• Ability to write clear, logically sequenced, and grammatically correct documents
• Excellent oral communication skills; must possess ability and willingness to present technical material to Navy leadership at the 0‑6 Flag/SES level (department heads, program office, etc.)
