Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Configuration Management Analyst to support defense programs by managing technical documentation, baselines, and change control throughout the product lifecycle.

This hybrid role out of Tennessee requires DoD experience, CMPro/Teamcenter expertise, and MBSE familiarity. You will coordinate engineering changes, maintain documentation, and support audits and program leadership with status reports.

Qualifications

• 2+ years supporting configuration management in DoD/aerospace/government environments.
• Experience with CMPro, Teamcenter, Windchill, SharePoint or similar systems.
• Knowledge of systems engineering, hardware lifecycle management, or technical data package development.
• Familiarity with ECPs, configuration audits, and release processes.
• Experience with complex systems or defense programs; CM certification preferred.

• Coordinate review, approval, tracking, and implementation of engineering changes, deviations, and waivers.
• Support CCBs by preparing agendas, documenting actions, and tracking change requests.
• Ensure controlled documents are versioned, released, archived, and distributed.
• Review drawings, specs, manuals for configuration compliance.
• Manage CM data in databases and repositories for data integrity and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with engineering, logistics, QA, and programs to resolve discrepancies.
• Assist audits by providing configuration status reports and metrics.
• Generate reports on configuration status, change activity, and baseline management.

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Configuration Management Analyst to support defense and engineering programs by managing technical documentation, configuration baselines, and change control activities throughout the product lifecycle. The Configuration Management Analyst is hybrid out of the TN area.

Responsibilities of the Configuration Management Analyst:

• Maintain and update configuration baselines for systems, hardware, software, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate the review, approval, tracking, and implementation of engineering changes, deviations, and waivers.
• Support Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) by preparing agendas, documenting actions, and tracking change requests through completion.
• Ensure controlled documents are properly versioned, released, archived, and distributed to authorized stakeholders.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, technical manuals, and program deliverables for configuration compliance.
• Manage records within configuration management databases and repositories to maintain data integrity and audit readiness.
• Partner with engineering, logistics, quality assurance, and program teams to resolve documentation discrepancies and configuration issues.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing configuration status reports, metrics, and supporting documentation.
• Generate reports on configuration status, change activity, and baseline management for program leadership.

Qualifications of the Configuration Management Analyst:

• 2+ years minimum of experience supporting configuration management and supporting Department of Defense (DoD), aerospace, defense, or government contracting environments.
• Hands-on experience with CMPro, Teamcenter, Windchill, SharePoint, or similar configuration/data management systems.
• Knowledge of systems engineering, hardware lifecycle management, or technical data package development.
• Familiarity with engineering change proposals (ECPs), configuration audits, and release processes.
• Experience supporting complex systems, weapons systems, avionics, communications, or other technical programs.
• Configuration Management certification (CMII, CMPIC, or equivalent) preferred.
• Working knowledge of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo or related engineering applications.
• Associate degree, bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Compensation for the Configuration Management Analyst:

• Salary: $60,000 – $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience
