Job summary

RTX is seeking a Configuration Management professional to join the Tucson team on onsite terms. You will support CM processes, change implementations, and audits, collaborating with engineering, quality, and manufacturing to maintain baselines and data integrity.

The role requires a BA/BS in a related field and proficiency with Microsoft Office. This position emphasizes learning CM practices and contributing to program success in a defense environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline obtained by start date.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Support Configuration Management Processes: assist in CM activities including identification, control, verification, and status accounting for systems and equipment.
• Assist with Change Implementation: support introduction of changes to engineering documents and common processes.
• Review and Coordinate Engineering Changes: help review engineering change data and coordinate updates with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and data control teams.
• Participate in Configuration Audits: gather data, identify discrepancies, and ensure alignment with CM plans and contractual obligations.
• Maintain Product Baselines: help establish and maintain product baselines with accurate data across systems.
• Collaborate Across Functions: work with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams on CM activities.
• Learn CM principles: on-the-job training to build knowledge of CM processes, tools, and standards.

What You Will Do

Key Responsibilities

• Support Configuration Management Processes: Assist in the execution of CM activities, including identification, control, verification, and status accounting for systems and equipment, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
• Assist with Change Implementation: Provide support for the introduction of changes to engineering documents and contribute to the implementation of common processes under the guidance of senior team members.
• Review and Coordinate Engineering Changes: Help review engineering change data and coordinate updates with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and data control teams.
• Participate in Configuration Audits: Support configuration audits by gathering data, identifying potential discrepancies, and ensuring alignment with CM plans and contractual obligations.
• Maintain Product Baselines: Assist in establishing and maintaining product baselines, ensuring accuracy and consistency of data across systems.
• Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to support configuration and change control activities.
• Learn and Develop CM Expertise: Engage in on-the-job training to build knowledge of CM processes, tools, and industry standards, contributing to personal and professional growth.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline obtained by start date
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Qualifications We Prefer

• General knowledge and understanding of configuration management principles using configuration management policies, procedures, and tools
• Experience identifying potential complex problems associated with technical engineering data, regarding configuration management issues, and take corrective action as needed

Salary Range

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
