Job summary

MCPC is seeking a Configuration & Logistics Technician to securely configure, package, and ship IT devices. You will manage inventory, perform provisioning and basic repairs, and ensure orders go out accurately and on time.

The role requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to operate warehouse equipment. A high school diploma is required, with additional technical training a plus.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; demonstrated organization, time-management, and communication skills.
  • 2 Years of experience or relevant training or certifications.

  • Prepare shipments, select containers, pack items securely, and operate equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Use scan guns for picking/receiving, perform cycle counts, and assemble basic equipment kits per customer requirements.
  • Create bills of lading, verify shipments against work orders, inspect for damage, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain a secure warehouse, assist with general facility upkeep.
  • Develop service documents, identify process improvements, and follow departmental procedures.

Configuration & Logistics Technician
Position Summary:
  • This position is responsible for the secure and efficient handling, configuration, and shipment of IT devices and equipment. The position involves provisioning and repairing devices, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring timely order processing. It requires adherence to documented procedures, collaboration with leadership, and a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare shipments, select containers, pack items securely, and operate equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks. May also drive company vehicles for deliveries.
  • Use scan guns for picking/receiving, perform cycle counts, and assemble basic equipment kits per customer requirements.
  • Create bills of lading, verify shipments against work orders, inspect for damage, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain a secure warehouse, assist with general facility upkeep.
  • Develop service documents, identify process improvements, and follow departmental procedures.
  • Provision, configure, clean, test, and repair IT devices following detailed instructions.
  • Resolve low to medium complexity issues independently and elevate high complexity problems to leads or supervisors.
  • Inspect devices for functionality and cleanliness, ensuring readiness for deployment.
  • Work closely with leadership and assist with other duties as assigned.
Key Outcomes of this Position:
  • Timely and accurate processing of orders to maintain Service Level Objectives set in place by MCPC.
  • Consistently follow documented processes to maintain a high degree of quality in output and customer satisfaction.
  • All work must be completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in a related field is a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated organization, time-management, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 Years of experience or relevant training or certifications.
  • Experience using ticket management systems and inventory management systems.
Physical Requirements:
  • Lifting requirements of up to 50 lbs.
  • May require standing for long periods of time.
  • Vision must be fair enough under a strong light.
  • Able to operate a pallet jack
