Reserv Claims Analysis, LLC is seeking a backend software engineer to design, build, and deploy production-ready systems using Ruby or Python. You will contribute to backend architecture, APIs, data modeling, performance tuning, and security while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Reserv is an insurtech creating and incubating cutting-edge AI and automation technology to bring efficiency and simplicity to claims. Founded by insurtech veterans with deep experience in SaaS and digital claims, Reserv is venture-backed by Bain Capital and Altai Ventures and began operations in May 2022. We are focused on automating highly manual tasks to tackle long‑standing problems in claims and set a new standard for TPAs, insurance technology providers, and adjusters alike. Location Requirement

Candidates must reside in an eligible U.S. state throughout employment. We are unable to hire candidates residing in California, Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or outside the United States.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of hands‑on experience designing, building, and deploying production‑ready software using Ruby or Python
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality, reliable software. We appreciate engineers who explore side projects, contribute to open-source, or publish technical content, demonstrating a passion for continuous learning.
• Deep expertise in backend development. You understand API design, data modeling, performance optimization, and security best practices - while still keeping the user experience in mind.
• Versatility and willingness to learn. You’re primarily focused on the backend, but you’re comfortable stepping into front‑end or infrastructure tasks when needed - whether its debugging a React component, fixing a security vulnerability, or helping optimize CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, comfortable partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless product experiences.
