Qualifications

  • Experience with PLM/DM and CM tools (SharePoint, Windchill, DOORS, JIRA).

Responsibilities

  • Support CM strategy for the program, including HWIL.
  • Apply CM practices to evolving baselines and artifacts.
  • Interface with government, primes, and labs across teams.
  • Track changes, audits, and generate status reports.

Description

SAIC is seeking aConfiguration Analyst Principaltoassistthe NSWC Crane Hypersonic Systems Engineering Team in developing and implementing Configuration Management (CM) processes, authoring documentation/policy, and applying CM best practices for a hypersonic developmental program working toestablishformal processes as configuration responsibility is transitioned from the Lead Systems Integrator to the Government.

NOTE: Position willeither be staffed onsite atCrane or remotely in Washington,DCor Huntsville, AL.

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • TheCandidate will assist the Crane CPS CM lead in formulating big picture strategic ideas to drive CM strategy for the program (including CM processes for the CPS Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) test environment) ina rapid development environment; enable processes that will prepare the program for weapon system sustainment requirements; help the program obtain technical and data driven solutions; and evaluate and recommend engineering, CM, and Data Management (DM) tools
  • TheCandidate will apply sound configuration managementpractices to evolving technical program baseline(s), and ensure configuration items are correct, complete, and consistent in compliance with technical and programmatic requirements
  • This position will require heavy interface with a variety of Government National Team program stakeholders (government, Prime Contractor, National Labs) as well as various Government/contractor working groups that span functional areas (systems engineering, hardware & software engineering,logistics)
  • In this role,theCandidate willbe responsible fortrackingall aspects of system development,product designchangesand the effects onthe overall system.TheCandidate willensureconfiguration identification;prepare andprocesschange; documentation;facilitatechange review boards; helpstructure andmaintaindatabases;andgenerate configuration status reports andconfiguration verification audit recordssheets
  • The Candidate will perform configuration audits including Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs) and Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs)
  • Establish and maintain product baselines (Functional, Allocated, and Product) for assigned systems and subsystems
  • The Candidate will coordinate with logistics, engineering, and program management teams to ensure configuration changes are properly reflected in technical data packages (TDPs)
  • Thisposition must be filled in Crane, IN, Huntsville, AL,or Washington, DC and requires regular access to Classified information.
  • Position does allow for a hybrid schedule with some telework when not needed at the customer site
Qualifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE
  • Bachelor’sdegreeand 10+ years' experience (5+ in CM)
  • Formal Configuration Management Certificate (i.e., CMII, CMPIC, CMTF)
  • CM Leadership experience (experience with both developmental and sustainment programs desired)
  • DoD Acquisition program experience (Navy program experience preferred)
  • Experience with a variety of Product Life Cycle Management and Data Management, and Software CM Tools (e.g., SharePoint, Windchill, DOORS, JIRA, or equivalent)
  • Interim clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process
  • US Citizen
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience conducting or supporting FCAs/PCAs on Navy systems
  • Background in Software CM (SCM) and Agile processes
  • Experience with Navy Model Based Product Support (MBPS) systems

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
