Job summary

SAIC, a leading defense and engineering company, seeks a Configuration Analyst to support the NSWC Crane Hypersonic Systems Engineering Team in developing and implementing CM processes, authoring policy, and applying CM best practices for a hypersonic development program transitioning CM responsibility from the Lead Systems Integrator to the Government.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years' experience.
• Experience with Product Life Cycle Management and Data Management, and Software CM Tools, Windchill, SharePoint, DOORS, JIRA.
• CM Leadership experience on development and sustainment programs.
• DoD Acquisition program experience; Navy experience preferred.
• Interim clearance required to start with ability to obtain a secret clearance; SAIC sponsorship.
• US Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Assist CM lead in formulating strategic CM ideas for the CPS HWIL test environment in a rapid development setting.
• Enable processes that prepare the program for weapon system sustainment requirements.
• Evaluate and recommend engineering, CM, and Data Management tools.
• Apply CM practices to evolving baselines and ensure configuration items are correct and compliant.
• Interface with government and contractor stakeholders across systems engineering, hardware/software CM, and DM.
• Track all aspects of system development, product design changes, and effects on the overall system.
• Prepare and process change, documentation; facilitate change review boards; maintain databases.
• Generate configuration status reports and verification audit records sheets.
• Perform FCAs and PCAs; establish and maintain product baselines (Functional, Allocated, Product).
• Coordinate with logistics, engineering, and program management to reflect changes in technical data packages.
