Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Configuration Analyst Level II for the Sykesville, MD site to support configuration management and PLM processes across mechanical, electrical, and hardware assemblies.

You will lead CCB meetings, manage baselines, and collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and manufacturing to ensure compliance with standards and documentation control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; 2 years relevant experience or
• Master's degree with 0 year relevant experience.
• In lieu of degree, 6 years of relevant experience in Project or Process Administration.
• Experience following documented rules to ensure technical content meets requirements.
• Entry level experience in CAD CREO10 and similar engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist document authors with document creation within the MPLM System.
• Assist Engineers with Engineering Change requests and CAD/library processes.
• Review MPLM metadata for completeness and generate EC reports.
• Assist with uploading and linking documents in MPLM System.
• Support relationships between MPLM System and SAP for manufacturing and supply chain.
• Perform CAD document updates using CREO10 and related tools.

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is currently seeking a Configuration Analyst Level II for our Sykesville, Maryland location. The configuration management analyst supports and implements processes for tracking and controlling technical documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency. Represents the configuration and data management function executing engineering administrative tasks. Reviews, interprets, and/or implements configuration management policies and procedures. Executes documentation updates per engineering change procedures for mechanical, electrical, and special hardware assemblies, as directed by the engineering organization. Will lead and facilitate configuration control board (CCB) review meetings, create agendas and produce output minutes used to track design changes. In this capacity, the configuration analyst assists the Engineering organization with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system to control product baselines, accurately document changes and track status of documentation releases. Additional tasks will be assigned to complete CAD documentation updates using CREO 10, Adobe Acrobat, and other tools used by engineers and technical personel. Key responsibilities include establishing baselines, managing change control, conducting audits, and collaborating with engineering, quality assurance, manufacture and other supporting teams to ensure compliance with standards and requirements.

What You'll Get to Do:

• Assist document authors with document creation within the MPLM System
• Assisting Engineers with creation of Engineering Change requests, Component and Material requests, CAD Library requests and additional MPLM processes
• Review metadata and items within the MPLM System for completeness as required
• Provide EC reports and collect data for metrics and presentation updates
• Assist document authors in the upload of documents to the MPLM System
• Assist document authors in establishing the correct relationships within the MPLM System and other supporting tools (SAP) that work in conjunction with manufacture operations and supply chain management
• Complete documentation updates using CAD tools (CREO10, AdobeAcrobat, Visio and MS Word)

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 0 year of relevant experience.
• In-lieu of college degree, 6 years of relevant experience in Project or Process Administration.
• Experience following documented rules and guidelines to ensure technical content meets internal and customer requirements.
• Entry level experience in CAD CREO10 and other similar engineering tools.
• Strong written and verbal skills to effectively interact with other functional organizations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active Secret Security Clearance
• Secret (or higher)
• Working knowledge of EIA-649 or MIL-HDBK-61A
• Experience working in a configuration management product life cycle system (i.e., Agile PLM, Teamcenter, CMPro, etc.)
• Working knowledge and understanding of engineering documentation (i.e., models, drawings, specifications, parts, change notices, manufacturing plans, and manufacturing procedures)
• Experience in military, government, commercial aerospace industry (e.g., aviation/equipment maintenance, aircraft operations, or commercial industrial technology companies)
• Experience working in an Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System (i.e., Deltek, Oracle, SAP, etc.)

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,400.00 - $108,600.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
