Job summary

DP Professionals (DPP) is seeking a Configuration Management specialist to ensure contract-driven documentation, BOMs, and ECN workflows align with engineering and manufacturing processes. You will coordinate changes, review data, and manage documentation across multiple teams.

The role requires hands-on experience with ERP/PLM/MES systems, configuration data concepts, and strong reading of technical specs and drawings to support aligned program execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of ERP, PLM, MES systems & how they support configuration management/manufacturing.
• Familiarity with configuration data (part numbers, BOMs, routings) and change control concepts.
• Proficiency with standard office tools (e.g., Excel, Word) for tracking and reporting configuration data.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation (e.g., drawings, specifications, work instructions).

• Reviews contract to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.
• Analyzes proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system.
• Coordinates modification records for management control.
• Change orders & prepares for change authorization/documentation by company and subcontractor.
• Reviews/analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience using enterprise tools (SAP or other ERP; Teamcenter or PLM; MES or similar shop-floor systems).
• Exposure to configuration management, product lifecycle management, or manufacturing operations in an aerospace/defense or similar regulated environment.
• Exp with bills of material (BOMs), part structures, or engineering change notices (ECNs/ECRs).
• Knowledge of configuration management standards/practices (e.g., change control, baselines, revisions).
