Job summary

Lex’s is seeking an Application Engineer to design and configure power distribution solutions, translating customer needs into manufacturable designs. You will generate wiring diagrams and BOMs, ensure compliance with UL/NEC standards, and support both customers and internal teams with technical expertise.

The role requires CAD proficiency, strong problem-solving skills, and collaboration with Sales, Product Management, and Engineering to deliver reliable solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 2+ years in an engineering role, preferably with configurable product design.
• Experience with UL and NEC compliance for electrical assemblies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure custom and semi-custom power distribution products.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, and customers to translate needs into manufacturable solutions.
• Generate detailed drawings, wiring diagrams, and BOMs for manufacturing and procurement.
• Provide technical support to customers and internal teams on product capabilities and integration.
• Ensure designs meet UL, NEC, and applicable standards for safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of configurations and designs in data management systems.
• Support improvement of configurable design platforms and processes.
• Participate in design reviews and address feedback for better product functionality.
• Assist with builds and functional testing to validate designs and quality.
