Job summary

YMCA of Northwest North Carolina in King, NC is seeking a Conferences and Program Manager to lead day-to-day camp and youth program operations, coordinate conferences in fall/winter/spring, and oversee day camp, overnight programming, and outdoor education. You will manage staff, scheduling, safety, and guest experience to align with YMCA mission.

The role requires strong leadership, staff development, budget tracking, and compliance with ACA, ACCT, NRA, and YMCA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in youth programming, education, hospitality, or recreation.
• Experience with staff supervision, youth programming, and camp operations is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification within 90 days of employment is required.

Responsibilities

• Staff leadership, supervision, coaching, and performance evaluations.
• Lead conferences and oversee Day Camp, Overnight Camp, and Outdoor Education operations.
• Ensure ACA, ACCT, ASHI, NRA, and YMCA standards are followed.
• Manage scheduling, guest experience, and program quality across seasons.
• Coordinate program logistics, safety, and risk management.
