Job summary

Makeready LLC is seeking a Catering Services Manager to orchestrate events at The Junto in Columbus, OH. You will supervise teams, coordinate operations across departments, and ensure flawless execution from tours to invoices.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong client-facing skills, and a clear understanding of venue amenities and sales promotions. A proactive, organized approach will help deliver memorable, high-quality events.

Qualifications

• Prior Conference/Event Services experience required.
• Guest-first mentality; approachable, personable, professional.
• Thorough understanding of the property and amenities; work with sales teams on current promotions and packages, as needed.
• Effective communication skills across multiple teams.
• Organized and effective.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client tours of spaces.
• Create detailed banquet event orders for execution of events.
• Work closely with banquet department on operations and event execution.
• Monitor group room blocks and pick up; generate detailed resumes for operating departments.
• Maintain detailed accounts and communications of contracts, event orders, and invoices.

The ultimate liaison, a Catering Services Manager is able to pull together all the pieces and departments necessary to execute a successful and memorable event. They are comfortable supporting, managing, and supervising others. This individual is a true visionary who can see the big picture and has the knowledge and experience to take something from pen and paper to reality.

Base salary + bonus plan

Requested Tasks:

• Conduct client tours of spaces
• Create detailed banquet event orders for execution of events
