Harper Associates is seeking an experienced Conference & Catering Sales Manager to join an upscale boutique hotel in the Detroit suburbs. Drive catering, conference, meeting, and event sales, and manage inquiries from first contact through planning and execution while building strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, polished, sales-driven, and highly organized, with the ability to coordinate with culinary, banquet, front office, and hotel leadership teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel catering sales, conference services, event sales, or hospitality sales.
• Hotel experience strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to develop client relationships and close business.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Polished and professional approach when working with clients.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple events, clients, and deadlines simultaneously.
• A proactive, results-oriented sales mentality.
• Experience with an upscale, luxury, boutique, or full-service hotel is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive catering, conference, meeting, and event sales for the hotel.
• Respond to leads, prepare proposals, conduct site tours, and convert inquiries into booked business.
• Develop relationships with corporate, social, and other event clients.
• Manage the client relationship from initial inquiry and contracting through event execution.
• Identify opportunities to upsell and maximize catering and event revenue.
• Coordinate event details with culinary, banquet, front office, and hotel leadership teams.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently follow up with prospective clients.
• Build repeat business and referrals through outstanding service and relationship management.
• Ensure events are executed with the attention to detail expected of an upscale boutique hotel.

Harper Associates is searching for an experienced Conference & Catering Sales Manager to join a distinctive, upscale boutique hotel in the Detroit suburbs.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality sales professional with experience in hotel catering sales, conference services, event sales, and client relationship management who enjoys taking ownership of the entire event experience.

The ideal candidate is proactive, polished, sales-driven, and highly organized, with the ability to build strong client relationships while managing events from the initial inquiry through planning and execution.

What You'll Do

• Drive catering, conference, meeting, and event sales for the hotel

Compensation & Benefits

• $50,000–$60,000 base salary
• Quarterly bonus potential up to 35% of base salary
