Job summary

KLN Family Brands/Kenny’s Candy & Confections is seeking an Operations Planning Intern for the summer of 2027 at our Perham, MN facility. You’ll work closely with our operations planning team to learn and contribute to routing, scheduling and process improvements.

Ideal candidates are juniors pursuing related degrees, ready to commit 10-12 weeks, and eager to develop analytical and teamwork skills in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Operations Management or related field.
• Commit to 10-12 weeks in Summer 2027 internship.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Able to work in a team atmosphere with others.
• On-site at Perham, MN facility for the summer.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate current routing processes.
• Review and assess current scheduling sequences for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Analyze historical and current customer minimum requirements.
• Collaborate with the sampling team to identify trends and improve processes.
• Automate sample requests and shipping.
• Evaluate and refine customer minimum requirements.
• Optimize routing strategies to improve utility, efficiency and resource use.
