Job summary

Orbia Connectivity Solutions Dura-Line in Elyria, Ohio is seeking a Production Operator to support winding, cutting, and packaging of conduit products. You will use measuring devices, follow precise instructions, and work on repetitive tasks in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include assisting with start-ups, ensuring quality, and maintaining safety protocols. Eligible candidates should have a high school education and at least 6 months of related experience.

Qualifications

High school education preferred.
At least 6 months of equipment or machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to maintain safety, quality, and attention to detail in repetitive activities.
Experience using measuring devices and hand tools.
Ability to follow work instructions and use basic math.
Material handling or forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Use tools and measuring devices to ensure the final product meets specifications and to catch abnormalities.
Collaborate with team members so orders are wound onto reels correctly.
Ensure neat wraps on reels.
Cut, tie off, and cap conduit when reels or cable are complete.
Monitor print and footage, and make corrections as needed.
Perform checks for product and packaging requirements.
Complete paperwork for inventory transactions.
Assist the Line Operator during start-ups and support operators with cutting, tie-offs, and reel changes.
Participate in training, safety, and continuous improvement activities.
Report unsafe conditions and broken equipment.
