Job summary

Sabre Industries, Inc. in Louisiana is seeking a conduit lead to direct workflow in the electrical department. You will measure, cut, bend conduit, read drawings, and ensure safe, compliant installation in shelter facilities.

The role requires a high school diploma, basic math, and proficiency with hand tools and an electric bender. You will mentor crew members and uphold company safety and quality standards on long shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of basic math.
• Working knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Ability to use an electric bender and install wire ways.
• Knowledge of load centers and wire ways in shelters.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and bend conduit using measurement and hand tools.
• Thread conduit ends, connect couplings, and fabricate and secure conduit brackets.
• Read and interprets drawings and specifications to determine the proper location of the wire.
• Troubleshoot prints and any issues that arise in the shelter.
• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Motivate crew member to increase productivity and meet work goals.
• Ensure the proper maintenance of equipment compliance with electrical codes and adherence to safety regulations.
• Assist with wire installation, troubleshooting and repair as needed.
• Report part shortages, equipment problems, shelter problems, and tool problems to supervisor.
• Check drawings and wiring schematics for proper devices, circuit wire sizes and color breaker sizes and alarm wiring.
• Keep all work areas clean throughout the day and make sure that all work and other assigned areas are completely clean before leaving for the day.
• Follow all department and company policies and procedures.
