Job summary

BNSF Railway is seeking Conductor Trainee candidates for the Minot area. This full-time role trains to manage train operations, adhere to safety protocols, and contribute to efficient freight movement across the network.

On-the-job and classroom training will be provided, with relocation not offered and a 60-day probation after training. Expect to work 40 hours per week with on-call requirements, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain employment authorization
• Willingness to work 40 hours/week in variable shifts
• Able to lift up to 80 pounds
• Capable of climbing ladders and operating equipment safely

Responsibilities

• Follow and report safety protocols in a high risk environment
• Monitor signals and ensure proper train movement
• Operate track switches and derails to manage routing
• Inspect trains and equipment per federal regulations
• Communicate information via multiple devices and report daily activities
