Job summary

GATOR FREIGHTER SERVICES LLC in Pasco County, FL, seeks qualified Paratransit Drivers to join our growing team. You will transport wheelchair, stretcher, and ambulatory clients door-to-door to medical appointments, ensuring safety, dignity, and timeliness.

We provide vehicles, equipment, fuel, and uniforms; you will perform pre- and post-shift inspections, maintain vehicle cleanliness, complete records, and participate in regular training. Must lift up to 100 pounds and pass required screenings.

Qualifications

• Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).
• Age 23 or older (Insurance Requirement).
• Valid State of Florida Driver's License.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to pass DOT physical, pre-employment drug/alcohol screening, and criminal background check.
• No suspensions, DUI, or more than 1 citation in the past 5 years.
• Must be customer service oriented.
• Experience in paratransit or healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport wheelchair, stretcher, and ambulatory members from door-through-door.
• Load and unload passengers safely.
• Coordinate instructions from dispatch and NEMT software for routing.
• Operate hydraulic lift to load/unload wheelchairs/stretchers.
• Ensure safety and well-being of all on board.
• Conduct vehicle inspections at start/end of shift.
• Maintain vehicles and cleanliness; report repairs.
• Know vehicle equipment and proper use at all times.
• Complete documents and maintenance records clearly.
• Participate in regular training and educational opportunities.
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds.

Pasco County's top-rated NEMT provider is looking for qualified Paratransit Drivers to join our rapidly growing team. PD's are responsible for getting members to and from their medical appointments in a friendly, compassionate, and efficient manner. We provide everything necessary to work including vehicles, equipment, fuel, and uniforms.

Responsibilities include transporting wheelchair, stretcher, and ambulatory members from door-through-door, loading and unloading passengers, coordinating instructions from the dispatch team and NEMT software to ensure optimal routing of trips, operating a hydraulic lift to safely load and unload wheelchairs/stretchers, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all on board.

PD's must conduct vehicle inspections at the beginning and end of their shift according to established procedures, maintain their vehicles and cleanliness, report needed repairs and service maintenance to supervisor, maintain full knowledge of the vehicle’s equipment and proper use at all times, complete documents and maintenance records clearly and accurately, and participate in regular training and educational opportunities. Must be able to lift 100 pounds.
