Job summary

The Shredders Corporation is seeking a reliable Route Driver in Pomona, CA. This role involves driving a commercial vehicle on daily routes, loading/shipping shredding materials, and delivering exceptional service to clients along the route.

You will perform vehicle inspections, maintain logs, and ensure secure handling of documents. CDL is a plus, and a clean driving record plus ability to pass background checks is required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; CDL a plus.
• Experience in route driving, delivery, or logistics preferred.
• Strong time management and ability to work independently on routes.
• Excellent customer-facing communication and professionalism.
• Familiarity with the Pomona, CA area a plus; ability to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Operate a commercial vehicle to complete daily assigned routes in a safe and timely manner
• Pick up and transport materials for secure document and media shredding services
• Load and unload containers, consoles, and bins at customer locations
• Provide outstanding customer service and maintain positive client relationships on route
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
• Accurately complete route logs, manifests, and chain-of-custody documentation
• Maintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of assigned vehicle and equipment

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL a plus)
• Previous route driving, delivery, or logistics experience preferred
• Ability to lift and move heavy containers (up to 50-75 lbs regularly)
• Strong time management skills with the ability to complete routes independently
• Excellent customer-facing communication and professionalism
• Familiarity with the Pomona, CA area and surrounding regions is a plus
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
