Job summary

RTD - Regional Transportation District of Denver, CO (RTD) seeks an FRA-certified Conductor for the Commuter Rail to support safe, reliable rail service. You will perform pre-inspections, operate track switches, assist engineers, and provide courteous passenger service in a fast-paced environment.

Applicants must meet DOT requirements, pass physicals, and endure irregular hours including weekends. A high school diploma and 21+ years old are required; join RTD to contribute to trusted mobility

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to pass DOT physical and obtain DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Safely supervise passengers and crew during rail operations.
• Assist Locomotive Engineer with inspections and pre-revenue checks.
• Operate track switches and monitor signals per RTDC rules.
• Provide courteous customer service and public announcements as needed.
• Coordinate with Dispatchers and other staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
