Ideal candidates are junior to mid-level associates with transactional real estate experience, who thrive in a collaborative, entrepreneur-friendly environment and are eager to leverage technology and AI tools to deliver precise advice to boards and managing agents.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and NY admission.
  • Approximately 4–7 years of transactional real estate experience with condo/co-op boards.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating governing documents, vendor/contractor agreements, closing documents, and commercial leases.
  • Ability to act as transfer agent for cooperatives and review stock/lease transfers.
  • Strong research and writing skills with solid academic record.
  • Excellent communication and ability to manage multiple matters and client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Manage purchase and sale transactions for cooperative/condo units from contract to closing.
  • Draft and review proprietary leases, bylaws, house rules, and assist with enforcement.
  • Prepare AIA contracts and access license agreements, including negotiating access (Article 881).
  • Advise boards and managing agents on day-to-day regulatory matters.
  • Prepare and amend governing documents and related forms and policies.
  • Provide guidance at board meetings and shareholder/unit owner meetings.
  • Advise on budgets and expenses, including dispute resolution.
  • Coordinate closings with accurate documentation and timing.
  • Advise on local, state, and federal compliance issues.
  • Support borrower-side financing and refinancing transactions.
