Conditioning Operator:
Conditioning Operators work closely with the Conditioning Supervisor and Plant Operations Manager to ensure that all conditioning runs meet customer quality requirements, while also attempting to maximize the total number of units bagged from each run.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing work activities safely and in compliance with company QMS program.
- Operating seed conditioning equipment according to instructions.
- Performing QMS QC checks and documenting results accurately.
- Thoroughly cleaning all equipment between conditioning runs in order to maintain product integrity.
- Assisting with tower maintenance activities.
- Ensuring product integrity through cleaning between conditioning runs and when transferring seed into processing tower.
- Operating tower to minimize bagger downtime due to lack of seed to package.
- Accurate completion of all conditioning records.
- Performing preseason maintenance to prevent downtime during conditioning season.
- Being flexible to assist in other areas of the location as needs arise.
- Maintaining a neat, clean, and organized work area.
Requirements
- A positive communicator who works well with others.
- Someone who follows safety and quality guidelines like second nature.
- Experience with conditioning/maintenance is great, but not required.
- Able to work independently and stay on track.
- Must pass a background check and drug test.
