Job summary

AssetWatch is a remote-first company delivering a premier condition monitoring experience for industrial customers across North America. The Condition Monitoring Engineer will collect and analyze vibration data at client sites, customize data processing for asset needs, and evaluate machinery health using advanced modeling and FFT analysis.

You will expand the vibration analytics library and help develop the PdM tool in collaboration with installation, product, and support teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience with vibration data collection and analysis, using FFT analyzers and predictive/preventive maintenance software
• Valid ISO Category II or higher vibration certification preferred; continued certification expected
• Strong understanding of electro-mechanical fundamentals including AC induction and DC motors
• Experience with industrial equipment such as compressors, turbines, blowers, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics
• Proficient with vibration spectra and time waveform analyzers
• Ability to derive corrective actions from field data and discussions with plant personnel
• Comfort working around elevated fixed and rotating equipment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and standard PC applications
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Desire to work in a startup environment and wear multiple hats
• Customer-focused approach with professional service and continuous communication
• Demonstrate integrity and ethical behavior

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze vibration and temperature data at client sites; customize data processing per asset and maintenance needs
• Perform vibration data collection, data analysis, modeling, programming, and engineering evaluations
• Evaluate machinery health via detailed vibration analysis
• Develop software models and programs to expand vibration data analysis library
• Provide actionable information to clients, set alarm levels in analytical tools
• Assist hardware installation team and recommend sensor placement
• Lead and grow AssetWatch PdM tool development program
• Expand expertise to include ultrasonic and oil/fluid analysis
• Collaborate with product development to create hardware and software solutions
