Job summary

Crossland Construction in Columbus, KS is seeking a hard-working field crew member to join our outdoor concrete team. You will patch and place concrete, spread, vibrate, screed and finish surfaces, and handle concrete buckets to achieve the required finish.

Ideal candidates are comfortable working outdoors at heights, with travel as needed, and ready to pass a drug screen, physical, and background check. Safety and teamwork are central to our culture and daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Patching of concrete
• Placement of vertical and/or horizontal concrete
• Spread, vibrate, screed, and float concrete to ensure proper compaction and finish
• Handling of concrete buckets
• Use of power tools such as mechanical vibrator and operating motorized equipment
• Standing or walking on narrow work surfaces at considerable heights
• Ability to work without close supervision once directed on task
• Obeys and follows all safety rules on the job site and encourages others to do the same
• Maintains good relationships with co-workers and works well with others to accomplish tasks
• Physical demands include lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally; 50-70 pounds frequently; frequent climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching and handling

• Obeys and follows all safety rules on the job site and encourages others to do the same.
