Job summary

Cemstone is seeking a Quality Control Technician in Minnesota to perform QC testing on aggregates and concrete produced at our facility and at job sites. You will monitor moisture, sieve gradations, temperature, slump, unit weight and yield to meet project specifications, and communicate results to Operations, Dispatch and Engineering staff.

This role requires a reliable vehicle, proficiency with MS Office, and the ability to discuss concrete quality and delivery with customers.

Qualifications

• Must have access to a reliable personal vehicle.
• Proficient with computers, smartphones, data entry and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to discuss technical and logistical aspects of concrete quality and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate production equipment.
• Sample and test raw materials for specification compliance.
• Perform QC tests: temperature, slump, unit weight, air content, set time, water/cement ratio, and casting strength.
• Record and report test results to supervisor, batch personnel, dispatch and the customer.
• Interact with customer field staff to manage project expectations.
• Maintain testing equipment and calibration.
• Keep daily journal and Cemstone sample reports for each sample.
• Collaborate with Engineering Service staff to resolve quality issues.
