Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in concrete, materials testing, QC, or lab work preferred.
• Working knowledge of concrete materials and testing; follow ASTM/ACI/DOT procedures.
• Strong math, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Good communication and ability to work independently in a fast-paced plant.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test raw materials (cement, aggregates, water, admixtures) for spec compliance.
• Perform fresh concrete testing—slump, air, temperature, unit weight—per ASTM, ACI, and DOT requirements.
• Cast, cure, and compression-test cylinders and other specimens.
• Assist with mix-design development, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Perform QC testing on precast and prestressed products.
• Maintain accurate test records and QC documentation.
• Review test data to spot trends or quality issues and report to QC management.
• Help investigate nonconformances and corrective actions.
• Maintain and calibrate lab equipment; keep a clean, safe lab.
• Participate in R&D of new materials, mix designs, and QC methods.
