Job summary

Knight's Companies in Summerville, SC is hiring a Concrete Pump Operator to safely and efficiently deliver ready-mixed concrete. You will operate boom pumps, perform setup, inspections, and coordinate with the crew to meet project goals.

We offer a $1,500 sign-on bonus, medical/dental/vision, PTO and holidays, 401(k) with company match, and disability and life insurance. A CDL is required, safety-conscious and detail-oriented applicants are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must possess valid CDL A or B and clean driving record.
• Minimum 1 year experience as Concrete Pump Operator.
• Read, write and speak English.
• Bilingual a plus.
• Ability to do basic arithmetic operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate concrete boom pumps safely and efficiently to deliver products.
• Inspect, set up, and maintain pumping machinery for safety and performance.
• Coordinate with management to meet area-level operational goals.
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies.
• Communicate with team and management to coordinate operations.
• Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot equipment to prevent downtime.
• Keep work areas clean and organized, adhering to safety standards.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent, preferred
• Must possess and maintain a valid commercial driver's license (CDL A or B) and no DUI's or DWI's in the last 5 years, no more than 3 moving violations in the previous 3 years
• Be at least 18 years of age in South Carolina, Be at least 21 years of age in Georgia
• Must have a minimum of 1-year experience as a Concrete Pump Operator
• Be able to read, write, and speak English
• Bilingual a plus
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers
• Perform the four basic arithmetic operations

Physical Requirements

• Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling and climbing to a significant degree.
• Exerting up to 100 lbs. of force frequently.
• Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls.
• Ability to safely lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
• Ability to climb, stoop, bend, squat, lift, stretch, push, pull, twist, kneel, stand, walk, sit, and reach.
• Ability to safely climb up and down stairs and/or ladders.
• Ability to work primarily outside, with possible exposure to the extremes of hot or cold weather.
