Job summary

Knight’s Companies in Hampton, SC is seeking a Mixer Truck Driver to safely operate a ready‑mix truck and deliver concrete products to customers. You will inspect loads, verify delivery instructions, and maintain equipment while providing excellent service in a safety‑mocused environment.

This role offers a $2,000 sign‑on bonus, competitive pay, medical/dental/vision insurance, PTO, holidays, and 401(k) with company match. CDL required and real id required where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CDL required.
• REAL ID required.
• Minimum age: 18 (SC) / 21 (GA).
• 1 year of CDL driving experience required.
• Must read/write/communicate in English.
• Clean MVR: no DUI/DWI in past 5 years; ≤3 moving violations in past 3 years.
• Basic math skills.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a concrete mixer truck in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Deliver concrete to job sites efficiently and accurately.
• Inspect loads for mix quality (slump, texture, color).
• Verify delivery instructions and job site locations before departure.
• Maintain communication with plant personnel and dispatch for delivery coordination.
• Build strong relationships with customers and provide excellent service.
• Complete required paperwork including delivery tickets, logs, and inspection reports.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Support plant operations and assist team members as needed.

Knight’s Companies is seeking a Mixer Truck Driver to join our Hampton team. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a ready-mix truck while delivering high-quality concrete products to our customers. This position plays a critical role in representing our company values, ensuring safety, and providing exceptional customer service on every delivery.

What You’ll Do

• Safely operate a concrete mixer truck in compliance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
• Deliver concrete to job sites efficiently and accurately.
• Inspect loads to ensure proper mix consistency and quality (slump, texture, color, etc.).
• Verify delivery instructions and job site locations before departing the plant.
• Maintain communication with plant personnel and dispatch for delivery coordination.
• Build strong relationships with customers and provide exceptional service at all times.
• Complete required paperwork including delivery tickets, logs, and inspection reports.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on equipment.
• Maintain truck cleanliness and perform minor maintenance as needed.
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all safety standards.
• Support plant operations and assist team members when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A or B) required
• Valid REAL ID in state of residence required
• Must be at least:
• 18 years of age for operations in South Carolina
• 21 years of age for operations in Georgia
• Minimum of one (1) year of CDL driving experience required
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), including:
• No DUI/DWI violations within the past five (5) years
• No more than three (3) moving violations within the past three (3) years
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
• Bilingual skills are a plus
